Kitchie Kitche Ki Me O

Many of you know about Anders playing in Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O (KKKMO). The band is a continuation of the band My Midnight Creeps (2003-2007), which featured Madrugada's Robert Burås (from Madrugada), who sadly passed in 2007. They released two albums; My Midnight Creeps (2005) and Histamin (2007). The line up was:
Robert Burås - Guitar/vocals
Alex Kloster-Jensen - Guitar
Behzad Farazollahi - Drums
Dag Stiberg - Saxophone
Anders Møller - Percussion
Raymond Jensen - Bass

I saw the band at Studentersamfundet and Platekompaniet in Trondheim in 2007, then with Anders on drums. In the time after, Alex K toured with Madrugada.

In 2009, a new band was started, Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O, with a similar line-up:
Alex K - Vocal, guitar
Frode Jacobsen (also from Magrugada) - Bass
Behzad Farazollahi - Drums
Dag Stiberg - Saxophone
Anders Møller - Percussion
Rikke Norman & Marianne Pentha - Backing vocals
Their self titled debut album was released in 2009, a follow up will come this year, title to be announced.

Dag is the Norwegian translator of swedish cartoon Rocky, by Martin Kellerman. In the katest edition there is an article by Dag about the song "Sex kabin". Ilustration purely coincidental...

Turbonegro

Turbo has been Knut's main band for many years now. They split in 1998, before a reunion in 2002. Then in 2010, singer Hank von Helvete left the band - to be replaced by Tony Sylvester. In 2012 they released the album Sexual Harrasment to great success. They are currently touring, according to http://www.turbonegro.com they have two more gigs in August, at Hvalstrandfestivalen, Asker (30th) and Verketfestivalen, Mo i Rana (31st).
Turbonegro are:
Tony Sylvester "Duke of Nothing" (vocals)
Happy-Tom (bass)
Knut "Euroboy" Schreiner (lead guitar)
Rune "Rune Rebellion" Grønn (rhythm guitar)
Tommy Manboy (drums)

Cavebones

In the 90s, Kåre played guitar in Cavebones. In 2012 they had a reunion, and Dag joined on bass. They have a facebook-page: https://www.facebook.com/cavebones, a myspace-page: https://myspace.com/thecavebones and read this article (in Norwegian) and see a youtube-clip from a TV-show featuring Cavebones: http://musikkfranorge.blogspot.no/2012/08/cavebones-reunion.html

Kåre about the Euroboys break-up

Here is an old interview from 2008 with Kåre about the time the band split up.

Mona & Maria

Popduo Mona & Maria released their debut-album My Sun this year. Their music is a blend of Judee Sill, Joni Mitchell and Fleetwood Mac. Recorded at Engfelt and Forsgreen Studio, with help from Christian Engfelt, their album has many good helping hands from Norway's best musicians: Olaf Olsen (Bigbang), Martin Horntvedt (Jaga Jazzist), Marcus Forsgreen (Lionheart Brothers) and Knut Schreiner!

Crystal Canyon

Crystal Canyon, the studio where Anders Møller works, has had many bands visiting to record albums the last 12 years: Euroboys, Dharma, 120 Days... The list is long.
Now today they are tearing it all down. But fear not. Crystal Canyon will resurrect!

a new beginning

OY
The listen.to/euroboys site has been up for over ten years. The last five years it has been sadly neglected. Not enough time and technical stuff - and the fact that euroboys is a band no more (but luckily we have been blessed with some reunion gigs).
I decided recently I want to update on whatever the euroboys members, primarily Knut, Dag, Per, Anders and Kåre, are up to these days. They still make music, some in more known bands than others.
The old site will be a site to remember what was and you will find link to "the archives" on this blog.
